He once played Shah Rukh Khan’s gorgeous-looking actor-father in Farah Khans Om Shanti Om. But that was in 2008. Javed Sheikh, who is all over the Hindi entertainment space lately, thanks to hit Pakistani shows on his repertoire, will soon be seen in a Hindi film, yet again. This time, he will play Ranbir Kapoors father in Imtiaz Alis Tamasha.
The actor with a great command over Hindi, Urdu and English will join the cast in January in Delhi, and will have major portions to shoot with the actor. He will play a contemporary urban father to the RK scion, who co-stars in the film with Deepika Padukone.
A production hand lets in, “Its a crucial role. He may be there for the Shimla schedule, but that is yet to be decided. The crew will film important portions in a famous college in the hilly terrain. Javed is pretty excited to act with Ranbir, and he loves to travel to India and connect with Indian actors whenever he can.”
